SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The No. 6 Florida State Seminoles have officially become a force of nature, and Wednesday's 11-3 drubbing of the Santa Clara Broncos was just the latest chapter in their 25-game winning streak. With this win, the Seminoles improved to 36-4 overall, and they’re making it look easy as if they’re effortlessly gliding through a game of T-ball while everyone else is still figuring out the rules of the game.

A First-Inning Frenzy: Setting the Tone

From the moment the first pitch was thrown, it was clear that Florida State had come to play. The Seminoles exploded for a jaw dropping seven runs in the first inning, seizing control and leaving no doubt about who the alpha dog was in this matchup. Three consecutive singles and a double gave FSU a quick 3-0 lead before the Broncos even registered an out.

But the Seminoles weren’t done; they continued to pile on the pressure. A two out double drove in two more runs, and Isa Torres capped off the inning with a two RBI triple, showcasing her ability to deliver under pressure. By the time the dust settled, FSU had put Santa Clara in a hole so deep it might need a ladder to climb out.

The Broncos’ Glimmers: A Struggle to Respond

Despite the onslaught, Santa Clara finally found its footing in the third inning. A throwing error by Kennedy Harp allowed the Broncos to get on the board, making it 7-1. However, the Seminoles quickly responded, as they have all season long, demonstrating their resilience and ability to shake off any adversity.

In the fourth inning, Torres continued her offensive onslaught with a one-out single, advancing to second on a wild pitch before scoring on a Jaysoni Beachum double. With Torres's performance, it became painfully clear that the Seminoles were not just winning; they were dominating.

The Final Nail: FSU’s Late-Game Surge

The Seminoles didn’t just stop at seven runs; they pushed the envelope further with three additional runs in the sixth inning, putting the run rule into play. Makenna Sturgis started things off with a walk and moved to second on yet another wild pitch. Following a single by Torres, the bases were loaded for Beachum, who drove in Sturgis with a groundout.

Ashtyn Danley doubled home Torres, and Angelee Bueno capped off the scoring with a single, allowing Danley to scamper to third before scoring on yet another wild pitch. It was a well orchestrated performance that showcased FSU’s ability to capitalize on every mistake made by the opposition.

Star Players: Torres Takes the Spotlight

While the entire Seminoles lineup contributed to this decisive victory, Isa Torres was undoubtedly the star of the show. She finished a remarkable 4-for-4 at the plate, featuring a triple, a stolen base, two RBIs, and three runs scored. It was a performance that not only bolstered her own stats but elevated the entire team’s energy.

Beachum and Danley also had notable performances, each contributing multiple hits and driving in crucial runs. The team’s overall hitting was impressive, finishing with 12 hits and a staggering .529 average (9 for 17) with runners in scoring position.

Pitching Masterclass: Limiting Damage

On the mound, Bella Dimitrijevic got the start for Florida State, allowing just one run over three innings, striking out a batter and keeping the Broncos at bay. Jazzy Francik then stepped in for two perfect innings, demonstrating why FSU boasts one of the most formidable pitching staffs in the country. Makenna Reid and Marlee Gaskell wrapped up the game, each allowing one run, but the damage had already been done.

What It Means: A Rising Tide

This victory isn’t just another win; it’s a statement. With playoffs on the horizon, Florida State is not only solidifying its standing in the rankings but also establishing itself as a serious contender. The Seminoles are riding a wave of momentum that’s difficult to ignore, and each victory adds to their confidence as they look ahead.

Closing Thoughts: The Culture of Winning

In a season where the Seminoles have dazzled fans and critics alike, this game exemplified their commitment to excellence. Coach Lonni Alameda has crafted a squad that not only performs but thrives under pressure, and it's infectious.
